In alignment with the UN decade for action, the Forth Sector Group and Leaders on Purpose are delighted to invite you to contribute your unique perspective in a workshop From a profit-first towards a purpose-first business on Wednesday 25th March, 2020 at 9.00 - 12.00 at The British Academy in London, UK.

Why?

Capitalism has entered a new phase.  The planet’s future is under threat largely as a consequence of outmoded economic systems and business models that incentivize short-term financial gain over long-term sustainable value creation.

Transitioning to a new business logic that puts people and planet first represents both a real path for long-term survival, as well as an unprecedented global business opportunity.
To recalibrate our understanding of growth and value, a strong base of research and practice-informed knowledge will be required.

About the Workshop

We would be honoured to have you join us for discussions and working sessions to identify barriers and opportunities which need focus by firms to operationalize for-benefit practices and structures.

Your contribution will inform the For-Benefit Business Blueprint and ultimately the global agenda for transitioning to a new business logic – one that is purpose centred, serving to benefit society and the planet.

A commitment to transition towards a for-benefit structure is a tangible and catalytic way for organizations to demonstrate their commitment to purpose, benefit all their stakeholders, and become stewards of authentic sustainable development.

The workshop is organized in partnership with The British Academy's Future of the Corporation Programme, and will bring together scientists, sustainability and strategy executives and experts from leading companies and cross-sectoral institutions alongside Buy For-Benefit Coalition and Leaders on Purpose members.

This event has been postponed until further notice due to COVID-19
