2030 AGENDA: A WHOLE-OF-SOCIETY APPROACH

July 17, 2018

UN Headquarters | NY

Co-hosts: The Permanent Mission of Jamaica and the UNDP Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (RBLAC) in partnership with the Permanent Mission of Mexico, the Permanent Mission of Colombia, the Permanent Mission of Dominican Republic and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).

The event will be structured in two thematic segments based on key questions that would allow a dynamic dialogue between Governments and with the complementary counterparts (civil society, academia, private sector, local governments). These themes and their specific questions will give Member State representatives the opportunity to share good practices in terms of the mechanism they are putting into place to help build resilient and sustainable societies under the framework of the 2030 Agenda. Jose Manuel Rodriguez, journalist from CNN, will be the moderator and will help stimulate the dialogue with focused questions the Member State representatives and the counterparts from the “whole of society approach” would receive beforehand.
